Absolutely! I’m a huge dog person and have two Golden Retrievers who are a large part of our family. We adore them. If you want to bring them and the location allows it, please feel free! Just let me know in advance for planning purposes. 😊
Can I bring my dog(s)?
I will! I primarily shoot in Bellefonte and State College; however, if you have a perfect location in mind that is outside of Centre County, I charge an extra $60 per hour.
Will you travel?
You will get an email to view your final high-resolution gallery online within the designated time frame.
How will I receive my photos?
I keep a close eye on the weather! If it seems like bad weather is imminent, I stay in close contact with you and, if need be, we can reschedugle for the next best date.
What happens if there's bad weather?
Ideally, I try to shoot 1-2 hours before sunset. This time gives that dreamy look. Mid-day sun is harsh and can cast unflattering shadows, so I try to avoid that whenever possible.
What time is best for a portrait session?
Wherever you want it to be! If you have a specific location in mind, please let me know. If not, we will come up with the perfect location together.
Where will my session be?
Once you fill out the booking form, I will be in touch ASAP to discuss the details of your session. Once we choose a date, location and confirm the details of your session, I will send over a contact. Once signed, I will send over a $50 deposit and your date and time will be secured. The remaining balance will be sent to you on the morning of the session.
What happens once I book?
You always look better than you feel you do. 😊 I will guide you through natural and fun posing. And don’t worry about your smile because there will be a lot of silliness and laughter during the session!
I'm not very photogenic. What if I don’t know what to do?
First, these are your pictures so I want you to be comfortable and wear whatever you want! It is best to pick a color palette and coordinate the family based off of those colors:
What do I wear?
- Neutral colors yield the light and bright style.
- Dark colors are great for contrasting; however, I wouldn’t put everyone in dark colors.
- Mix and match patterns (avoid putting everyone in one pattern. It’s too busy)
- If you want that romantic, dreamy look, I recommend a longer dress for women and accessories! So much can be done artistically with dresses and accessories.
- Make sure the footwear matches the outfit.
- Have fun with it!
If you have any other questions, I would be happy to help!
