You know that moment when you meet someone and you just click? Well, that was Marnie. She was so kind in her emails. And even sweeter in person! It was a perfect Fall evening for this family session. The weather was warm. And the smiles were instant. After I left, I realized why there was the click. It is because they inspire me. They are the epitome of family goals. Everyone was so loving and honest. But the best part was that they are so fun!

We connected over parenthood and medicine.

Both Marnie and Chris are medical heroes on the frontline during this crazy world we’re living in. After spending an hour with them, I can confidently say that all of Marnie’s patients are so lucky. Her giving heart and kind voice are just two of the many things that make her an amazing Registered Nurse. And if I ever end up needing a cardiologist, Dr. Kocher will be my first phone call. His sense of humor and quick-wit can make anyone feel better! Individually, these two are so enjoyable to be around. But together they are unstoppable. When I was taking pictures of just the two of them, they laughed and shared some adorable moments! As parents, they mostly get pictures of just the kids. But when these two were alone, their love was magic.

Put them together with their kids, and this family is it. An inspiration. It was obvious to me that their kids genuinely enjoyed spending time with them. The smiles and laughter came so naturally. But the best part was at the very end when Chris suggested a jumping picture with the kids. Not too often do people want to do that, but when they do I will always take them up on it! It was such a playful moment and so fun to watch. As a mom, I need to take a page out of their parenting and family book because I left that session inspired. And very thankful for them.
