The dad-jokes were on point. And I mean that in the best way possible! Jonathan came ready to make his kiddos laugh. But it worked for everyone. It was a chilly winter evening, but that didn’t stop the smiles. You want to talk about a beautiful family? Well, this is the one. Their humble  hearts are filled with love and grace. When Erin reached out to me, I couldn’t have been more excited to photograph their sweet family. It was such a fun mini session filled with laughter. And a lot dad-jokes.

The running car kept the kids warm.

A brilliant idea, honestly. When we were taking pictures of the kids individually, the rest of them sat in the warm car waiting their turn. They ran over, got their pictures taken and ran back. But when it came time for group pictures, they all came over ready to go. Five siblings. And it was the sweetest thing watching them all snuggle together for pictures. It was totally evident that these siblings are tight and love each other so much. Listening to them all giggle while I took their pictures was like music to my ears. And again, Jonathan’s jokes were key in the kids laughter!

But the highlight of the session was when the kids all went back into the warm car and I got to photograph just Erin and Jonathan. They snuggled close to keep each other warm, but their love blew sparks. The way Jonathan smiles when he looks at Erin gives me goosebumps. And the way Erin holds onto and hugs Jonathan is inspiring as a wife, and mom. These two have created a beautiful family together. But the God-filled life they live is truly inspiring.
