It started back in May. I first Met Kayleigh and Logan at their gender reveal session on their family’s farm land. It was a beautiful evening surrounded by excitement. And dogs. This was the beginning. The beginning of their new adventure as a family of three. They had just discovered they would be having a boy! We talked about names and how excited their families were. This was the beginning of their most beautiful adventure. And I’m so thankful that I got to be a part of it.

Fast Forward to August.

It was a bit overcast, but the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was just peeking through the pink clouds and the humidity was low. A perfect summer evening. Kayleigh and I had been in contact since her gender reveal session, so it was an easy and enjoyable session. We discussed how crazy it is being pregnant during the summer, and we talked about how excited we both were for this next adventure. Kayleigh and Logan compliment each other so well. They make each other laugh and have such a natural chemistry, it’s easy to photograph.

They both laughed and mentioned countless times how they had no idea what they were doing. But the reality of it is, they did everything exactly right. Listening to them laugh and talk about what the future holds for their family, is like music to my ears. When they looked at each other, it was evident that they were smiling about how in love they are. They may have felt awkward (or so they said), but everything about them looked natural and effortless.

Kayleigh, I am so thankful that you reached out to me so long ago! I am so excited for your family as you are about to embark on the sweetest adventure yet. There is no doubt that this little guy is beyond lucky to have such wonderful and loving parents. He will never know a life without love and support, and I’m so looking forward to watching your story unfold. Good luck with everything, and I hope to see you all again soon.
