It’s always nerve-wracking when you buy a house: 1. because it’s buying a house, and 2. because you don’t know who the neighbors are going to be. Thankfully though, we hit the jackpot of neighbors. We moved in a few weeks before Grayson was born, and for the past three years, this family has been like an extended part of our own. They have been involved in countless big moments in our life, and they help us more often than we deserve. Their Golden Retriever Jake, or as Grayson calls him, “Jakey-boy,” is one of Grayson’s favorite reasons to go outside. And thankfully, Jake doesn’t mind the hugs and kisses. To say we are thankful for this family is a huge understatement.
Nick has a heart of gold.
He always waves when he drives by or says hi when he’s outside. It fills my heart up the most though when we’re all outside and he invites Grayson over to, “Shoot some hoops.” Grayson always excitedly walks over to play basketball and asks Nick if he can “dunk” the ball. Without hesitation, Nick always lowers the net and picks Grayson up so he can do a slam dunk. The excitement on his face says it all. Grayson loves this family as much as we all do!
It’s his Senior year of high school. We walked all over Talleyrand taking pictures, and Nick was a total champion! Through wardrobe changes and walking around for well over an hour, he always looked at the camera with his awesome smile and never once complained! It was the best senior session! Going into senior year is such a sweet time because it’s the end of one small chapter, but the beginning of one huge one. Endless possibilities are waiting, and I have no doubt in my mind that whatever Nick chooses to do, he will do with his whole heart and be successful.
Thank you, Katina for reaching to me to do this fun session! Your family is a total gem to us, and we are so thankful for all of you! I’m excited to see where this year takes Nick.
