It was a snuggle-filled Fall evening. There was a cool breeze, but there was still warmth from the sun. The colors were starting to really pop. And the pumpkins at Rooted Farmstead were the best backdrop. This sweet family exited the car looking gorgeous. And the conversation was instantaneous. I was excited for our family session, but I had no idea just how snuggly the session was going to be. And it was everything I wanted it to be and more.

My heart was drawn to Thea.

Not only was she absolutely adorable with her piercing blue eyes, but her birthday is right before my own daughter’s. It made the session that much sweeter for me because it served as a humble reminder of just how fast time passes. It’s not fair sometimes. So, we capitalized on the time we had together to create some memories. And Thea, hands down, stole the show. She loved the pumpkins. And playing with an old sunflower. She was happiest being snuggled between her mom and dad. And in those moments, time stood still.

Ashley and Thea have a precious mother-daughter dynamic. The calmness and stillness in the moments of them together was picture-perfect. I couldn’t get enough of it. Jesse and Thea together added a playful nature. Thea needed a break from looking at the camera, so I took advantage of her and Jesse playing in the flowers. It was so innocent and adventurous. Examining the flowers and taking in everything about them. It was evident that these two have the best times together.

As a whole, this family is everything. Love-filled. Snuggly. Still, yet energized. It was an evening filled with laughter and smiles. This session filled my cup with love. And I’m so thankful for it!
