April Showers Bring May Flowers

June 3, 2021

It was Mother’s Day weekend, and the perfect time for a Spring Mini session! In May. However, it certainly didn’t feel like May! It was cold, windy and rainy. Definitely not the ideal weather, but the beautiful families that came out made the day bright and warm! Thanks to the creative mind of Shianne from T&T Events Mobile Bar, we had a “Flower Picking Bar” which was a huge hit with the kids. Some families came out for family pictures, and others for “Mommy and Me” pictures, but everyone got to leave with a few flowers! The weather may not have been ideal, but the families made the day perfect in every way!

I’m so thankful for the wonderful women who helped me put the day together!

Shianne was the backbone of this session. We utilized her adorable mobile bar, and she came up with some creative and really great ideas for the day. After we decided on a “Flower picking bar,” I knew the location for the mini session had to be at Rooted Farmstead, LLC. Christie from Rooted Farmstead was more than accommodating to our ideas and offered up some gorgeous single-stem flowers for the families. And we were thankfully able to utilize their rustic barn for the families to be in so no one had to stand in the rain! Rachael, from Flowers with Rachael, designed and put together the gorgeous pink flower arrangements for the shoot. These incredible women (and moms) helped make the day go even better than I had hoped. I am so thankful for them!

Even though the weather was less-than-stellar, these sweet families come out to Rooted Farmstead ready to go! Each family came with a smile on their face which made the barn light up with love and warmth. I had one family request that I take a picture of their new ultrasound so they could announce their newest little miracle on Mother’s Day. How sweet is that? Each family came and left with their own story, and their own vision. Each family left inspiring me, leaving me excited for the next! I am so grateful for the families and people who helped the Spring Mini come to life, and I hope to see them all again very soon!
