Love and Memories

July 14, 2020

There was no shortage of love during this session. Meriah and Dustin are so laid back and easy to get along with. I could have spent hours with them. When I spoke on the phone with Meriah a week prior, she stated that she just wanted natural pictures. Memories of how tiny he is and how perfectly he fits in their arms. Kashton was on his own time and came a bit earlier than expected. And because of Covid-19 tentative plans had to change. But when they got to Curtain Village and took Kashton out of his stroller, the love for this little one hit me in the chest like a rock. It was amazing!

Curtain Village was the perfect place for us.

Quiet, tucked-away and rustic. It suited the Coakley family perfectly! The evening was hot to say the least. But it totally worked in our favor! Kashton slept like an angel the entire time. Meriah and Dustin bore the heat and walked all over the place to take pictures. The heat was exhausting. But the conversations were energizing!

As I was taking pictures of Kashton and talking to Meriah, I would every so often glance over at Dustin watching us and his smile spoke volumes. It is obvious, by the look on his face, how much he adores Meriah and Kashton. My heart raced with excitement. Thinking about the adventures this hard-working farming family was about to experience, was overwhelming for me. Several times I would overhear them say, “He is so cute” and oh my goodness, was that an understatement! I could photograph Kashton every day.

So genuine and down-to-earth, Meriah I am so thankful you reached out to me! You and Dustin were so much fun to spend time with. Kashton is one lucky little man to have such kind parents; your love for him was evident the second you both stepped out of your car. Thank you so much for sharing your time with me, and I sincerely hope to see you all again in the future!
