Excitement in the Wait

September 14, 2020

The rain may have tried. But nothing was going to stop this sweet maternity session. Full of wonder. Anxious with excitement. Kelsey and Austin are over the moon in love and ready to meet this perfect little prince or princess. And I am over the moon excited for them! We met in Boalsburg and although I could not physically hug them because of Covid-19, my heart was wrapping its arms so tightly around them. Sending them all of the prayers and love I could give because the nine months spent pregnant, are some of the scariest yet most beautiful months of your life. The best part is the excitement does not stop there. It just gets better.

When Kelsey looked down at the amazing work her body was doing, I couldn’t help but smile.

Because her smile said it all. It was as though she was looking at her belly and picturing who was inside. Seeing the miracle that was growing and loving him or her a little more every second. Kelsey has such a gentle soul. And I’m convinced her heart is made of pure gold. I’ve known her as a friend, and I’ve seen her as a wife. So I know without a shadow of a doubt that she is going to be a rock-star mom!

Austin compliments Kelsey perfectly. Their laughter and smiles are so natural. I have known Austin and his family for close to 20 years, so watching him transform from husband into dad excites me a lot! Not only is this little one going to be beautiful, but he or she will be loved beyond anything fathomable. I have known both Kelsey and Austin apart, but I have seen them grow so beautifully together. And I look forward to watching them grow in this next adventure as parents.

Kelsey and Austin, thank you both for toughing out the rain! You are such beautiful people, and I pray for a safe arrival of this little bundle of joy. I promise you, the best and most exciting adventure is yet to come.
