A new house and a new baby! For this family, the past few months have been loaded with change. And their hearts have been filled with more love than they could ever imagine. Not to mention, Charlotte was the first baby of the new year! How amazing is that? The word “new” is becoming quite familiar to this beautiful family. But new is what they have been dreaming of for so long.

They invited me into their warm home.

They did an amazing job at cranking the heat! Lauren introduced me to Charlotte, and I almost died. Her cheeks are perfect. And her tiny body is beyond precious. It is obvious that Lauren and Ethan are over the moon with the arrival of their sweet little girl. Every detail of the nursery was thought out. And the way they took turns rocking her to sleep was emotional for me. As I was taking pictures of the nursery and the perfect details of Charlotte, I could hear Lauren and Ethan whispering in the background, “Ugh. She is just so perfect.” And oh my goodness, are they correct!

The natural lighting in the living room was a dream. And the way they decorated was straight out of a Pottery Barn Catalogue. I could have photographed them in the living room all day. The way they so naturally cuddled into each other on the couch was effortless. And the smiles they gave each other screamed, “I love our family.” I thought they looked great at their maternity session this fall. But wow – I was so wrong! This session was the one I’ve been waiting for!

Lauren’s mom made all the headbands.

She has her own Etsy shop, and it’s no wonder her crown-making business is successful. They were gorgeous!! As an adult, I want one for myself! So it made perfect sense why Charlotte looked like a complete angel with them on. There is a never-ending supply of love for this sweet girl. I am beyond excited to watch this beautiful family blossom into an even more beautiful family!

Lauren and Ethan, thank you so much for inviting me into your home to photograph the newest, most amazing addition to your family! You three are going to have so much fun together, and I can’t wait to see the adventure unravel. I can’t wait to see you again!
