I’ve always said that sometimes simple is more. And in this case, that phrase could not be more true! This is now the third time with this beautiful family, and I’m so thankful! Kashton comes with smiles every time. And those big blue eyes will seriously stop your heart. He is pure joy to be around, so helping ring in his first trip around the sun was really exciting for me. The toys and decorations were simple. But this session was so much more than I had hoped for.

His first birthday theme was Winnie the Pooh.

So the golds and yellows were a perfect color combination! He looked so handsome in his denim overalls, but once he got down into a diaper (a Winnie the Pooh diaper) he looked so innocent sitting next to his stuffed animals! He kept wanting to play with the toys, and then quickly crawl away. But that’s what made the time so precious. He looked so sweet playing with the toys. His big smile just melting your heart. It really forced me, as a mom, to stop and take in every sweet moment.

The beautiful bee cake was made by Meriah’s mom. And Kashton really seemed to enjoy it! Instead of digging right in, he took the gentle approach to it. He quietly and delicately put his fingers in and took chunks out of the cake. I could have watched him eat the whole cake; it was adorable! This simple first birthday session did wonders for my mom heart! And I can’t wait to see them again.
