Lion of God. That is what her name means. Arielle is destined to be a fierce and strong little girl with a name like that. She entered the world on her own time, but she came at a perfect time. Right before Christmas. She is an absolute gift, and she is going to be a force to be reckoned with. But for now, we soak up all of her newborn perfection. Her hair is a dream. And her tiny body a miracle. She is indeed a lion of God. And God has beautiful plans for her life.

There is something about doing newborn shoots that fills my cup.

Maybe it’s because I’m a mom to two and our newborn stage will never be again. Or maybe it’s the fact that these little miracles come into the world with such peace. The symbolism of “fresh start” couldn’t be more evident than when I’m in the presence of a newborn baby. It refreshes my soul. And Arielle is that breath of fresh air. Kyle and Stephanie just look at her and you can tell that they couldn’t be more in love. More thankful. And the way they interacted with each other and poured out grace for one another during this in-home session was beautiful. They are starting an amazing new family on a solid foundation.

They moved from Texas and will eventually be heading to New York, but I’m so thankful they are here right now. I met them this summer for their maternity session, and it was so fun. They are down-to-earth and full of life. Since then, I have been anxiously waiting for the arrival of their little one so I could see this angel is in person. And Arielle is more perfect than I could have imagined.

Stephanie and Kyle, thank you for inviting me into your beautiful home. I adored seeing you guys twice in a few months. And getting to witness you two as amazing parents was really special. Arielle is indeed a lion of God, and I wish you all nothing but blessings on this new adventure.
