Honestly, I’m thankful for Covid-19. Sounds crazy, right? Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot about it that I absolutely don’t like. But there is a large part of me that can look back with a thankful heart. One of the many “thanks” is that I met some wonderful newborn families during that time, and we got to spend an hour or two outside together. This family being one of them. Pam has been a wonderfully helpful and loving addition to my photography family! And now I was blessed with the ability to capture their second newborn miracle. And it was indoor!
Pam’s grandmother’s saddle, which carries countless memories, came to the studio and I couldn’t have been more excited. We used the saddle for her daughter’s newborn session in 2020, so bringing it back for their son was only fitting. And it was as beautiful now as it was then. Not only did we have the saddle and cowboy hat back, but a second cowboy hat made an appearance. Micah’s great, great grandfather’s cowboy hat was added to this session. The pride on the look of Pam’s dad’s face spoke volumes to the love he has for this little boy already. Micah is loved beyond words.
Everything went flawlessly. Micah was awake for some and asleep for some. But he was a content little man through it all. The studio was filled with family beaming with love. I couldn’t get enough of it. And the best part was the baby snuggles I got at the end of the session! It couldn’t have been a better afternoon. So yes, Covid-19 was a weird gift. But it was a gift I’m oddly thankful for!
Pam, thank you so much for reaching out to me! Your family is treasured by me and I’m so excited for your family as you venture in your new journey as a family of four. I can’t wait to see you all again soon!
