They say, “Third times a charm!” But really, it’s more like fourth time. And every time it just gets better and better. This awesome family has become friends – not “clients.” And honestly, I don’t even like using that word because with every session I have, I leave feeling like I gained new friends. They’re never just, “clients.” And I speak specifically in regard to this family about that! This is now my fourth time with this sweet family, and I’m excited to say it won’t be my last.

We met at the beginning of the pandemic.

We did outdoor newborn pictures. So, seeing how much their family has grown in the last 16 months is humbling. I saw how tiny Kashton was in their arms then, and I see how big he is now, and it makes my heart both sad and excited. Sad because they really don’t stay little for long, but excited because he is growing into such a fun and loving little toddler! When Meriah reached out to me for this family mini session, I couldn’t have been more excited. I always look forward to seeing their family.

We walked, and we walked. Thankfully the weather was a perfect end-of-summer evening, so it was cooler with a nice breeze. I love seeing how much Kashton loves his mama because I have a mama’s boy myself. And it’s amazing! Meriah, Dustin and Kashton make the sweetest trio and listening to them all laugh together is like music to my ears. Taking pictures of Kashton individually is the best because I just get to stand there, make funny noises and watch him run around and smile with a look of pure joy on his face. It makes my heart overflow knowing that I’ve gotten to watch this family blossom into an even sweeter family than I could have ever imagined.

Meriah, thank you so much for reaching out to me…again! Your family is held near to my heart, and I’m so thankful to have gotten to know your family so well over the last year. I’m excited to see what this Fall holds for your family, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
