A Long and Worth it Drive.

August 1, 2022

It’s a long drive. But this family is worth it. We connected during Covid, and I’m so thankful that we did. Roxas’ newborn session was outside and enjoyable. His first birthday session was themed and perfect. Now Skylar enters the family. And her newborn session, in the same location as Roxas’ first birthday, was outside and fulfilling. Yes, the drive to them is long. But their family, and adorable kids, are worth the trip.

I love doing outdoor sessions.

There is so much freedom and fun. Roxas stepped out of the car dressed like one handsome little guy. Rocking his button up polo, he was ready to run. And he did just that. His energy was captivating. It comes with the age, but I love watching kids run and explore. It’s so humbling watching them be who they were so uniquely created to be. I have loved watching Roxas grow into a sweet, smart and curious little boy. And wow, does he love listening to his parents sing. They sang a beautiful song for him, and it put him in a love-filled trance. It was beautiful.

And now he’s a big brother to a sweet little girl. Skylar fits into their family so perfectly. She is so precious with the cutest little face. She slept most of the time, but at the end she was awake and loved laying next to her big brother. Seeing the four of them together gives my heart and warm and fuzzies. Leah and Jeff are such patient and kind parents. I spent some time reflecting back to Roxas’ newborn session and it just made me smile thinking about their journey to this place. Harrisburg is a long trip, but I feel like we’ve found the perfect location for this perfect family.

Leah, thank you so much for reaching out to me! Your family just keeps getting cuter and cuter. I feel so blessed to get to watch your family continue to grow. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
